20 Reviews For This Extension
It would be much better if it actually sync automatically, but you can only do it manually. Not sure why this cannot be implemeted.
Its been a wonderful tool not only for managing my microsoft acount pasword and make it easier to login but its grate as a password administrator, it could be better if it has autosync or if you woldent need to use the extension to set it up but for a "free" tool I like it. I only recomended it if you have a lot of passwords of different sites or mails, or if you want to make easier the microsoft acount login. Owerall, for what it is, pretty good.
Not much is perfect, but to the people having issues, these can all be fixed. You have to set it up with the Microsoft Autofill extension, NOT within the settings of the browser. This is for MS Edge, btw.
The app is a nice idea but like others have said it won't sync your passwords with the Microsoft Authenticator app.. so makes it a bit pointless. It looks like a known issue if you Google it. I highly recommend using BitWarden it is alot better and only £10 a year..and actually syncs. It is very typical of Microsoft releasing software to the Public that doesn't work it seems to be there new business model.
Doesn't auto sync, just a trash app. Bitwarden is 100x better
This app has stopped syncing data from existing data only way to use this is standalone, it does not sync data that has been stored over the years with android or windows edge browsers directly.
Does not have feature parity with microsoft wallet. In edge browser, under Personal info Names are saved as first name, middle name and last name. In extension it is saved or synced and displayed as just Name which leads to wrong autofill in forms. Forms ask for First, middle and last name separately. Extension doesn't have DoB field also, which is present in edge browser, Personal info.
The good: it does a good job of generating compliant passwords with minimal hassle, and it's free to use. Passwords saved here are also available in the Authenticator app. The unknown: I assume it's stored very securely in the cloud because it's made by Microsoft... The bad: it does not auto-sync, it requires manually syncing, and it has quite a few bugs: it shows a dialog with "copy" button to copy a new password to the clipboard, but that never actually works; it saves contact info for other people to your auto-fill data which of course is just designed for your own contact info; the auto-fill feature often will copy the same string into multiple different form fields; the auto-fill feature is all or nothing, if you opt to auto-fill one field, it will auto-fill other fields as well, including *overwriting* entries you already manually put into another field. It's frustrating to use because with as much resources as MS has, you know they could do so much better than this very mediocre and buggy extension.
Very good !!!
Frequent logout on windows 10 chrome browser. need to sign-in every time when you opens the browser
It's Great! but what about the 2fa mfa? Hoping that'll will be available soon.
Best quality of garbage by Microsoft. They want us to dump chrome for edge when basic level of things like password manager, logins, authentications, forms, and autofill are working in their own app. (Not forgetting about import and export of bookmarks not happening if they are above 30,000, whereas chrome can handle over 90,000 of bookmarks for years). After installing for first time or after update, the extension logs out and if you try to log in, it shows loading with white popup but never logs in. The passwords stored on edge browser are never synced with this extension nor with what is stored in Microsoft Autofill authenticator app on mobile. I bet 1 billion dollars if MS company or even head Satya uses the products of his own company that his company forces us to use them with such inconsistencies, bugs and broken functionalities. Not a single MS app or service or software works flawlessly and one doesnt have to find bugs on every usage. No dark theme anyway. No in-built app for edge browser. No app for linux devices. No, nothing for chromebook users. No nothing for android tablet users. For google, I request them to bring their own google passwords and authenticator app on mobile as standalone that works through google account like google photos or google drive does so that I can dump MS services and apps since support and bugs are not considered or looked upon. Anyways, use MS services as your own risk since you can lose your data in a blink if anything happens to device or their cloud backup. Can you imagine, MS doesnt provide you a simple way to check devices and browsers where your MS account is logged in and has your confidential data stored in MS account manager like google manage account - devices does.
useless garbage
Good
Worked very well and seemed secure. When you want to auto-fill a password, you need to enter your PC password or use windows hello (flike fingerprint)
Awesome
